Jordan finished second at Shenington today in the KF2 Winter Series after starting 10th! The Newport driver had to start down the grid after the engine stopped in heat two after he had worked his way up from 20th to 6th.
This Sunday Jordan will be racing in the charity event in aid of Cancer Research at Rye House. There will be a main race with racers from single-seater and motorcycle racing as well as a race for the UK’s top juniors to demonstrate their craft. As well as Jordan, European Champion Jack Harvey will be racing as well as eight others.
Jordan’s first KF2 (senior) race took place this weekend at PF, where he recovered well from a Saturday washed out by a cold and sore throat. He started second in the first heat but was launched at the first hairpin, displacing his nassau panel. He kept going after stopping to replace it but could only finish 21st.
He was ninth in the second heat, making up a magnificent 14 places so in the final he started 17th. He got up as high as fourth during the race but lost places when he and a competitor both went for the same gap and finished seventh.
A successful finish to the British Junior Championship saw Jordan bow out of JICA with a win in the wet first final and a fifth place in the second race. Unfortunately the championship table hasn’t yet been finalized due to the appeal against Max Goff’s exclusion from the previous round. Oliver Rowland is champion and we think Jordan is probably fourth.
